Jesús Calleja: TVE explores signing presenter following production deal

Televisión Española (TVE) is exploring the possibility of signing presenter Jesús Calleja as a major star for the public broadcaster. This interest follows a significant financial arrangement where Zanskar Producciones, S. L., a company co-owned by Calleja, received approximately 1.68 million euros in 2025 for content production for RTVE.

Calleja, currently a prominent figure at Mediaset, maintains a long-standing personal friendship with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. This relationship, which dates back over a decade, was recently highlighted when Calleja stayed for two nights at the state residence, La Mareta, in Lanzarote.

While Calleja continues to have ongoing projects with Mediaset, including formats like 'Planeta Calleja', the recent movements by TVE have drawn attention within the media sector regarding the potential shift of the adventurer-communicator to the public network.
