Jesús Comunica ordered into preventive detention for shooting of child

Jesús Cristóbal Hoyos, an independent journalist and content creator known as ‘Jesús Comunica’, has been placed under 45 days of preventive detention following a shooting that seriously injured a 7-year-old boy in San Miguel de Tucumán.

The incident occurred on September 25 on Congreso Street. According to the prosecution, Hoyos allegedly drove the motorcycle used by the attackers, while an unidentified companion opened fire. One bullet struck the child in the abdomen, causing severe injuries. Hoyos has been charged as a necessary participant in attempted homicide.

During the judicial hearing, the defense, led by attorney Aníbal Paz, maintained that Hoyos did not fire the shots and announced intentions to challenge the detention order. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact role of all individuals involved.
