Jesús Estrada wins WBC FECARBOX Silver super welterweight title

Jesús ‘Demoledor’ Estrada captured the WBC FECARBOX Silver super welterweight title at the Wellness Weekend Fight Night held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. Estrada secured a split decision victory (97-92, 94-95, 95-94) against Ulises Cisneros.

Despite the win, Estrada faced significant physical challenges, including a hip injury sustained during his training camp and being knocked down in the fifth round. He attributed the knockdown to a lapse in concentration while attempting to hear the judges' scores from the previous round. Boxing legend Humberto ‘Chiquita’ González attended the event and identified Estrada as a talent to watch.

In the co-main event, former WBC minimumweight world champion Yessenia ‘Niña’ Gómez defeated Rubí ‘Toluquita’ Molina via unanimous decision in an eight-round super flyweight bout.
