Jesús Nader Nasrallah emerges as potential candidate for Tampico mayor

As the 2027 electoral process approaches in Tampico, former mayor and current federal deputy Jesús ‘Chucho’ Nader Nasrallah is emerging as a significant political figure. Representing the National Action Party (PAN), Nader has not ruled out a return to the municipal presidency.

Nader’s potential candidacy is noted for its focus on past administrative results, specifically regarding urban infrastructure, paving, lighting, and waste collection. His ability to campaign on tangible public services rather than just future promises is viewed as a potential challenge to the Morena party, which is represented in the local political landscape by deputy Úrsula Patricia Salazar Mojica.
