Jesús Ochoa returns Christian Benítez's 2013 final jersey to his son

Mexican actor Jesús Ochoa has returned the jersey worn by the late footballer Christian “Chucho” Benítez during the Clausura 2013 final to Benítez’s son, Roger Benítez.

Ochoa explained on the program ‘El Posscass de Compass’ that he had kept the shirt since the championship celebration, when he was in the owner's box at Club América. During the festivities following the penalty shootout victory against Cruz Azul, Benítez had removed his jersey to hold an Ecuadorian flag, at which point Ochoa acquired the garment. Ochoa stated he had no intention of profiting from the item.

Accompanied by Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Ochoa visited the Club América facilities in Coapa to present the jersey to Roger, a 17-year-old player currently in the club’s youth academy. Roger, who plays for the Sub-17 team and has been called up to the Sub-19 squad, described the gesture as “the best gift in the world.”
