Jess Williamson releases new single and announces 2027 tour

Singer-songwriter Jess Williamson has released her new single, ‘Hum Of The City,’ ahead of the release of her sixth studio album, ‘A Mile South of Heaven,’ on October 9 via New West Records.

Produced by Shooter Jennings at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, the album features traditional country elements including pedal steel, fiddle, and banjo. Williamson wrote the material while splitting time between Los Angeles and Marfa, Texas. The single ‘Hum Of The City’ explores themes of identity and the concept of home, inspired by an experience of returning to a hotel room she had occupied years prior.

In addition to the new music, Williamson announced a headline tour for 2027, with scheduled stops in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Toronto. She is also set to perform an album release show at The Continental Club in Austin on October 8.
