Jesse Bam Rodriguez camp proposes March fight against Naoya Inoue

Trainer Robert Garcia has adjusted the timeline for a potential matchup between Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and Naoya Inoue, suggesting a March fight is now possible. This is a shift from Garcia’s previous suggestion of April or May.

Rodriguez is currently scheduled to face WBO champion Christian Medina in December, with potential dates around December 11 or December 19. A March bout would require a rapid turnaround for Rodriguez following the Medina fight.

Despite the proposed March window, uncertainty remains regarding Inoue’s participation. While Garcia believes Inoue may be preparing for a featherweight move as a tactical maneuver, the champion has already begun signaling readiness for the 126-pound division. There is currently no official agreement or formal approach from Inoue’s management to finalize the negotiations.
