Jesse Huerta announces debut solo album ‘Sombrero’

Mexican singer Jesse Huerta has announced the release of his debut solo album, titled ‘Sombrero’, as part of a new musical project called Jesse and the Supernovas. This move follows his recent announcement regarding a hiatus for the musical duo Jesse y Joy, which he performs with his sister.

Huerta has established his own record label, Nebulosa Records, to manage the project, while securing a global distribution agreement with Virgin Records to reach international audiences. The announcement follows the release of the single ‘Génesis’, an instrumental piece intended to pave the way for ‘Interestelar’, the first official track from the upcoming album, which is scheduled for release on October 21.

According to a statement, much of the album was produced in Huerta’s personal studio during breaks from his recent touring schedule. He noted that the new project allows him to explore personal musical ideas and sounds that fall outside his previous work.
