Jesse Kiiskinen scores first AHL hat trick
Finnish forward Jesse Kiiskinen recorded his first career AHL hat trick during a game where the Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Chicago Wolves 5–1. Kiiskinen scored the first three goals of the match in the early part of the second period and added an assist.
The 21-year-old, who previously played for HPK in Finland, has recorded seven points in five games this season. Kiiskinen is currently under a three-year entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings, having been acquired from the Nashville Predators in June 2024. His recent performance comes as the Red Wings face injury challenges with forwards J.T. Compher, Marco Kasper, and Mason Appleton.
