Jesse Lee Soffer to star in CBS crime drama ‘Strike Force’

CBS is developing a new crime drama titled ‘Strike Force’ (working title), which has received a development room order. The project marks a reunion between actor Jesse Lee Soffer and showrunner Matt Olmstead, following their previous work on ‘FBI: International’.

Soffer is set to star as a battle-tested DEA agent who returns to Kansas City to lead a multi-agency strike force aimed at combating violent crime in the American heartland. The series is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Studios, with Soffer and Olmstead serving as executive producers alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Kristie Anne Reed.

If picked up to series, ‘Strike Force’ is tentatively slated for the network’s 2027-28 lineup. This project is part of a broader development strategy by CBS to build out its future programming slate.
