Jesse Love apologizes for Bristol collision with Justin Allgaier
During the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, a late-race incident between Jesse Love and Justin Allgaier resulted in significant tension and lost contention for both drivers.
With approximately 14 to 15 laps remaining, Love and Allgaier restarted on the front row. As they entered Turn 1, Love drove high into the corner, pinning Allgaier into the outside wall. The contact caused Allgaier to drop to fourth place. Shortly after, Taylor Gray attempted a similar maneuver on Love, which resulted in Love also hitting the outside wall.
Following the race, Allgaier expressed disappointment, stating he felt he had raced cleanly all night and questioned Love's cornering. Love took responsibility for the error, describing it as a ‘terrible decision’ made in the heat of the moment. Love noted that his actions led him to ‘make an enemy’ he did not intend to make and expressed a need to apologize to his team and the No. 7 car.
