Jesse Malin tribute compilation released

The compilation album ‘Friends of Jesse Malin – I Would Do It For You Vol. 1’ has been released through Wicked Cool Records. The 26-track collection features various artists from the punk, rock, and Americana scenes performing songs from Malin’s solo career and his work with D Generation.

Produced by Lyle Hysen, the project aims to support Malin’s healthcare as he recovers from a spinal stroke suffered in 2023. Contributors to the first volume include Gogol Bordello, The Dead Milkmen, Sami Yaffa, Valley Lodge, and Prima Donna. The release also marks the return of the New York alternative rock band Das Damen, providing their first new recording in 35 years.

The project is the first of two planned volumes, which are expected to eventually encompass nearly 80 songs recorded by Malin’s musical community and collaborators. The album is available on digital platforms, CD, and vinyl.
