Jesse Marsch and Fabian Hürzeler coordinate on Promise David development

Canada national team head coach Jesse Marsch is working closely with Brighton and Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler to support the development of striker Promise David. Since transferring from Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to the English Premier League, the 24-year-old Canadian has seen limited playing time, totaling 78 minutes across all competitions this season.

Marsch revealed that he and Hürzeler held discussions to align their approaches regarding David’s growth and the specific skills required to succeed in the top flight. To ensure continuous monitoring, Marsch has assigned assistant coach Mauro Biello to maintain weekly communication with Brighton’s technical staff.

With Cyle Larin sidelined by injury, David may play a central role for Canada in their upcoming CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final matches against Guatemala. The first leg is scheduled for November 13 in Guatemala, followed by a return fixture in Toronto on November 16.
