Jesse Mustonen finishes sixth in Grass Track World Championship

Jesse Mustonen achieved a significant result in the Grass Track World Championship final held in Marmande, France. After performing strongly in the early heats, Mustonen had to secure his place in the final through a Last Chance heat, where he successfully held off defending champion Zach Wajtknecht.

In the final, Mustonen faced a difficult starting position on the fourth track, which became increasingly slippery during the race. Despite his efforts to challenge for fourth place, he finished last in the final. However, his overall performance earned him sixth place in the World Championship series, marking the second-best result ever for a Finnish rider in this category.

British rider Chris Harris won the Marmande event, while Germany's Erik Riss secured his third career World Championship title after dominating the season. The top eight riders in the series have qualified for the 2027 World Championship.
