Jessica Lange criticizes FX over ‘American Horror Story’ production costs
During a PaleyFest panel in New York City, actress Jessica Lange criticized the FX network for its past production practices on ‘American Horror Story’. Lange, who has starred in several seasons of the franchise, stated that the production was “too fucking cheap” to provide transportation for the cast.
Lange recounted experiences from filming the third installment, ‘Coven’, in New Orleans, noting that actors were required to drive themselves back to hotels in the early morning hours. Co-star Sarah Paulson expressed agreement with the sentiment during the discussion.
The panel, which also included Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman, served as a celebration of the series' legacy. Lange recently returned to the franchise for its 13th season following a hiatus from regular roles.
