Singer and actor Jessica Simpson has confirmed that Netflix will produce a documentary exploring her life, career, and influence. The project, directed by Joe Pearlman, is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

According to Netflix’s Tudum, the documentary will cover Simpson’s journey in the public eye and her recent return to music following a 15-year hiatus from original recordings. This follows her 2025 release of two EPs, Nashville Canyon.

Simpson previously gained widespread fame through the reality series ‘Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica’ approximately 20 years ago. Since then, she has sold over 20 million records, launched a fashion collection, and authored a bestselling memoir, ‘Open Book’.
