Jessica Tarlov expresses wish for Trump 2020 victory

Jessica Tarlov, a liberal co-host on Fox News’ “The Five,” stated in a New Yorker interview that she wishes Donald Trump had won the 2020 election. Tarlov suggested that without the impact of COVID-19, Trump likely would have secured re-election, and argued that a Trump victory in 2020 might have prevented the current political climate.

Tarlov expressed concern that the last four years have allowed conservative advisors and initiatives, such as Project 2025, to gain significant influence. She remarked that the administration has had time to “take a sledgehammer to the country” while liberals have struggled to develop effective, simple messaging to compete with conservative slogans.

Additionally, Tarlov criticized the Democratic approach to policy, noting that while they focus on deep policy papers, they have failed to produce the concise, winning ideas necessary to win elections on merit rather than simply opposing the opposition.
