Jessica Wahls discusses past insolvency and financial ruin

Former No Angels singer Jessica Wahls has spoken openly about experiencing financial ruin and insolvency following the height of her pop stardom. During an appearance on the talk show ‘3nach9’, Wahls explained that her period of immense success in the early 2000s did not translate into long-term financial security.

Wahls noted that the rapid end of the band’s peak, combined with personal life changes including the birth of her child, led to a significant shift in her income. She remarked, ‘I was a millionaire for 0.23 seconds, but in Deutsche Marks,’ highlighting the fleeting nature of her wealth.

To rebuild her life, Wahls transitioned into a stable professional role. She currently works in the music editorial department of the radio station MDR Jump and also works as a yoga instructor. She expressed appreciation for the stability of a regular ‘9-to-5’ job, which provides a consistent income compared to the unpredictable nature of the music industry.
