Isaac Cruz defends WBC interim title against Nestor Bravo

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz is set to defend his interim WBC super lightweight title against Nestor Bravo at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego. The bout, part of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) event, features Cruz (28-3-2) as the favorite. Cruz has stated that a victory is essential for him to secure future fights against major names like Ryan Garcia.

The event card underwent significant changes after Jesus Ramos Jr. was forced to withdraw from his interim WBC middleweight title fight against Meiirim Nursultanov due to suspected food poisoning. Ramos was briefly hospitalized but has since been released. As a result, the co-main event has been restructured to feature Daniel Blancas against Sergio Jimenez.

Financial disclosures from the California State Athletic Commission indicate Cruz will receive a guaranteed purse of $600,000, while Bravo is set to earn $175,000. The fight will be broadcast live via DAZN.
