Jesy Nelson's twin girls recover after surgery to remove feeding tubes

Former Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson posted an emotional update after her 14‑month‑old twins, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, underwent surgery to have their nasogastric feeding tubes removed. The procedure, performed on Friday, was successful and allowed the girls to be seen without the facial plasters that had covered their faces.

Nelson, who shares the twins with ex‑partner Zion Foster, has been public about their diagnosis of type 1 spinal muscular atrophy, a rare genetic condition that weakens muscles. The babies were born prematurely at 31 weeks and have required intensive medical care since birth. Nelson expressed relief on Instagram, writing, “I got their face back feels like a dream,” and shared photos of the twins resting together after the operation.
