Jet2 cancels flights and holiday packages to La Palma

Jet2 has announced the withdrawal of its flight and holiday packages to La Palma in the Canary Islands, just six months after launching the service. The airline will end its twice-weekly Manchester-La Palma route, with the final scheduled flight set to depart on October 30.

Additionally, a planned low-cost route from London Stansted, which was expected to begin on November 6, has been cancelled. A Jet2 spokesperson stated that the company continually reviews its programme in response to customer demand and makes adjustments as required, noting that the decision to withdraw the La Palma service was a “difficult decision.”

Affected customers will be contacted by the airline and offered the choice of a full refund or the option to rebook an alternative holiday. Following these cancellations, Tui will remain the only airline operating seasonal direct flights to the destination.
