Jeton Shasivari calls for data-driven public policy

Minister of Justice Jeton Shasivari participated in a roundtable discussion regarding the advancement of research and analytical functions within political parties. Shasivari emphasized that party research and analytical centers (PIAC) are essential for improving the quality of public policy, public debate, and democratic processes.

Shasivari noted that because these centers utilize public funds, there must be a culture of accountability regarding the quality of their research, analyses, and recommendations. He argued that public resources should produce tangible public value through policy development and capacity building. The Minister also highlighted the importance of inter-party cooperation in research and knowledge exchange, stating that while political solutions may differ, they should all be based on accurate data and serious analysis. The Ministry of Justice aims to provide a clear and functional legal framework to support these functions.
