Jetour launches Zongheng F700 plug‑in hybrid pickup

Chinese automaker Jetour, a brand of Chery, unveiled its new midsize plug‑in hybrid pickup, the Zongheng F700. The model will be shown publicly at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.

The F700 measures 5.49 m in length, 2.05 m in width and 1.98 m in height with a 3.35 m wheelbase, and is offered with four‑ or five‑seat configurations. It is powered by a 2.0‑litre turbo gasoline engine paired with Jetour’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM‑O plug‑in system, delivering 211 hp (155 kW) and 340 Nm of torque. An 800‑V battery can be recharged from 20 % to 80 % in ten minutes, giving the vehicle a combined electric‑fuel range of up to 1,300 km and a claimed fuel consumption of 1.39 L/100 km.

Inside, the cabin features a 15.6‑inch central infotainment screen and a 35.4‑inch panoramic instrument panel. The exterior includes rugged design cues such as a large rectangular grille, LED daytime lights, and optional off‑road accessories like a snorkel and roof tent. Jetour positions the F700 against rivals such as Great Wall’s Poer and BYD’s Shark, and it is being evaluated for possible entry into South American markets.
