JetSMART adds Buenos Aires‑Medellín flights and launches service in Santiago del Estero
JetSMART announced that it will operate a new direct route linking Buenos Aires, Argentina and Medellín, Colombia starting 12 November, with five weekly flights. The service will connect passengers to JetSMART’s broader network, allowing onward travel to other Colombian destinations such as the Caribbean and Punta Cana, and giving Argentine travelers links to major domestic cities.
The low‑cost carrier also confirmed its entry into the Argentine province of Santiago del Estero, where an official launch ceremony was attended by Governor Elías Suárez. The new provincial service is expected to increase flight frequencies, lower fares through competition and stimulate tourism, business events and related hospitality sectors, reinforcing regional economic integration.
