JetSMART resumes daily flights between Posadas and Buenos Aires

JetSMART has reinstated direct flights between Posadas and Buenos Aires, marking the return of the airline to the route after more than three years. The service operates seven weekly frequencies, providing one daily flight from Libertador General José de San Martín International Airport to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery.

Misiones Governor Hugo Passalacqua received the inaugural flight, noting that the increased connectivity aims to boost tourism, investment, and employment within the province. According to Tourism Minister José María Arrúa, initial operations have seen high demand, with occupancy rates exceeding 85% to 90% of aircraft capacity.

The airline is also reviewing resumes from workers previously displaced by other carriers to potentially integrate them into the new service. Provincial authorities are currently in discussions to establish further connections, including a potential route to Córdoba.
