Jett Lawrence dominates Hangtown round of 2026 AMA Pro Motocross
The second round of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross season took place at the Hangtown circuit in Rancho Cordova, California. Honda rider Jett Lawrence, still recovering from an ankle injury, felt more comfortable on his bike and captured a dominant win in Race 1, pulling away from Yamaha’s rookie Haiden Deegan.
Hunter Lawrence (Honda) passed Deegan late in the race to secure second place, while Deegan’s attempt to dive inside resulted in contact with Hunter’s bike. Prado was forced to retire on the final lap due to a mechanical problem. Red Bull Ducati’s Dylan Ferrandis recorded an impressive fourth, and Chase Sexton finished in the top ten after a crash on the opening lap. The event followed a debut round at Pala where Hunter Lawrence claimed a 1‑1 victory and Jett Lawrence earned a podium finish.
