Jett Lawrence reclaims championship lead at Unadilla MX

The AMA Pro Motocross Championship title race saw a significant shift during Round 9 at Unadilla in Upstate New York. Honda HRC Progressive teammates and brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence traded moto wins, but the outcome resulted in Jett Lawrence reclaiming the 450 championship lead.

In the first moto, Hunter Lawrence established an early lead, while Jett Lawrence recovered from an early fall to finish second behind Jorge Prado. In the second moto, Jett Lawrence took the lead and secured the win. Hunter Lawrence, who had taken the holeshot, crashed at the steep “Wall” section of the track. The crash caused significant damage to his bike, forcing him to drop out of a points-paying position.

The results created a 22-point swing in the championship standings. Jett Lawrence now holds a 10-point lead over Hunter Lawrence with only two rounds remaining in the series.

In the 250 class, Chance Hymas secured his third consecutive podium result, finishing third overall with a 4-2 score across the motos.
