Dutch voters express record dissatisfaction with Jetten cabinet

An Ipsos I&O poll indicates a significant decline in public satisfaction with the Jetten cabinet in the Netherlands. Approximately 70 percent of voters expressed dissatisfaction with the government's policies, marking the highest level of discontent since Prime Minister Jetten (D66) took office in February. Only 18 percent of respondents reported being satisfied with the current administration.

Researchers attribute this drop in confidence to recent budget negotiations. While the coalition parties have reached an agreement on financial plans, they currently lack a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and support from the opposition remains uncertain. Voters specifically identified the VVD as a primary reason for this lack of confidence.

In a hypothetical election scenario based on the survey, the PRO party would emerge as the largest. Other projected results include the former GroenLinks-PvdA alliance at 26 seats, while D66 and PVV would follow with 20 and 17 seats, respectively. Right-wing parties JA21 and Forum voor Democratie also showed increases in support.
