Jeunes Restaurateurs Italia launches discount program for young diners

Jeunes Restaurateurs Italia (JRE) has announced ‘JRE Young Week’, an initiative designed to introduce people under the age of 30 to fine dining. From October 2026 to February 2027, participating JRE restaurants across Italy will offer a 30% discount to younger customers to make high-end gastronomy more accessible.

The project will consist of four specific weeks, occurring once per month: October 19–25, 2026; November 16–22, 2026; January 25–31, 2027; and February 22–28, 2027. The discount applies to the food bill but excludes wine and other beverages. Participation is subject to the availability and specific booking policies of individual restaurants.

According to Alberto Basso, President of JRE-Italia, the goal is to bridge the gap between younger generations and fine dining, which is often perceived as exclusive or unaffordable. By reducing the cost barrier, the association aims to invest in the future of Italian gastronomy by fostering a direct relationship between contemporary chefs and the next generation of diners.
