Jevshan Chamber Choir marks Ukraine's 35th independence anniversary in Montenegro

The 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence was commemorated in Bar, Montenegro, with a concert by the Galician Chamber Choir ‘Jevshan’. Held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle, the Lviv-based choir, conducted by Irina Kreslenko, performed a program consisting of 11 works dedicated to Ukrainian spiritual choral music.

Following the musical performance, the ‘Uspeh’ children's sports club from the Khmelnytskyi region demonstrated ‘hopak’, a traditional Ukrainian martial dance. The demonstration showcased elements of Ukrainian combat skills and Cossack techniques.

The event was organized by the NGO ‘Ukrajinogorci’ and the ‘Uniting Hearts’ Children's Community, with support from the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro, the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, and the Archdiocese of Bar.
