A group of approximately 30 Israeli activists, many of whom are religious Jews, were violently expelled by settlers in Jannatah, near Bethlehem, while attempting to protect a Palestinian family in the West Bank.

The activists, including Ziva Sharp, traveled to the area to build a protective fence around the home of the Faraj family and clear road obstacles. The Faraj family has faced increasing pressure from extremists, including the death of Mohammed Faraj during settler clashes in March.

During the confrontation, at least five activists were injured as settlers used stones and pepper spray. The group also reported that their vehicles were vandalized, with smashed windows and punctured tires. The activists stated their mission is driven by a humanistic interpretation of Jewish religious texts to provide compassion and justice.
