Jewish communities celebrate Simchas Beis Hashoeva in Jerusalem and Sydney
Communities in Jerusalem and Sydney held large-scale Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebrations as part of the Sukkot holiday.
In Jerusalem, thousands of residents and visitors gathered at the Shikun Chabad courtyard for the annual event organized by Tzeirei Agudas Chabad Yerushalayim. The celebration, which has a 30-year tradition, featured musical performances by Mendy Weisel and Rabbi Dovid Caytak, a fire artist display by Daniel Elmalich, and communal singing. The event included greetings from Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion via Rabbi Yaakov Halperin.
In Sydney, the Tzemach Tzedek Community Centre hosted its third annual communal celebration, attracting over 600 attendees. The event included a children’s rally, communal dancing, and various food vendors. The celebration was organized in partnership with several local synagogues and organizations, including Chabad of Bondi and the Jewish Family Centre.
