Jewish holiday initiatives connect Israeli soldiers, widows, and diplomats

In preparation for the Sukkot holiday, Colel Chabad organized a distribution of mehudar Daled Minim sets to hundreds of widows and lone IDF soldiers from abroad. The initiative, managed through the organization’s social and educational division, Chessed Menachem Mendel, aimed to support those in difficult circumstances in fulfilling religious observances.

Separately, Israel’s ambassador to Greece, Pninat Yanai, hosted children from the special needs organization DYAMEA and the low-income support group Oli Emeis Mazi at her residence to mark the festival. Yanai emphasized the importance of building lasting ties between Israel and Greece through security, energy, tourism, and people-to-people connections.
