Jewish Summer Camps Boost Enrollment and Add New Sports Pavilion for Hundreds of Kids

The CKids network of Chabad-affiliated overnight camps reported a near‑40% jump in enrollment, reaching almost 800 children from 17 U.S. states and three other countries. The increase is attributed to expanded scholarship funding provided by philanthropists such as Yitzchak Abehsera, Rabbi Shimon Margolin, and George and Pamela Rohr, enabling more Jewish families to send their children to immersive summer programs.

At Oholei Torah’s Yeshivas Kayitz Program, a new sports pavilion has been opened. Covering 220 × 80 feet with a paved area of 280 × 100 feet, the facility includes two basketball courts, two hockey courts, three volleyball courts, a picnic area and a surrounding running track. The pavilion is designed for use in all weather conditions and aims to enhance the summer experience for the hundreds of bochurim attending the camp.

Both initiatives reflect a broader effort within Jewish philanthropy and camp leadership to provide year‑round religious and recreational opportunities that strengthen community ties and personal development among Jewish youth.
