J&F secures US$ 1.32 billion syndicated loan to extend debt profile

J&F, the conglomerate controlled by the Batista brothers, has completed the disbursement of a US$ 1.32 billion syndicated loan. The operation was structured by BTG Pactual, Citibank, and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, acting as Joint Lead Arrangers, Bookrunners, and creditors.

The company stated that the primary objective of the loan is to extend its debt profile rather than increase overall indebtedness. The loan carries an initial interest rate of SOFR plus 2.60% per annum, with a five-year final term following a three-year grace period. The credit is secured by subsidiaries including Eldorado Brasil Celulose, Flora Produtos de Higiene e Limpeza, and LHG Mining.

Due to high interest from participating banks, the operation saw additional commitments of US$ 420 million beyond the initial allocations. This financial move follows a restructuring announced in February that transitioned J&F from an investment holding company into an industrial conglomerate, focusing on governance, financial management integration, and the incorporation of wholly controlled businesses.
