Jhalawar bus accident kills two pilgrims in Rajasthan
A private bus lost control in the Pataliya Peer Dargah Valley in the Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, resulting in the deaths of two pilgrims and injuring six others. The incident occurred late at night when the vehicle reportedly gained excessive speed while descending from the upper part of the valley, striking a group of people standing by the roadside.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Hamid and Rehan, both residents of the Ramganjmandi area in the Kota district. The injured individuals were transported to the district hospital, with one person in critical condition being referred to Kota for specialized treatment.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. While the exact cause is still being determined, officials suspect mechanical failure, such as brake failure, may have played a role.
