Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav showcases traditional tribal cuisine
The Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav is showcasing the state’s tribal heritage and culinary traditions through the ‘Hamar Jharkhand Rasoi’ food experience. The festival highlights the importance of locally sourced ingredients, such as millets and maize, in preserving indigenous food practices.
Traditional dishes featured include Dhuska, a popular rice and lentil-based snack, Madua Thekua, Madua Roti, Makai Namkeen, and Desi Chicken. Other notable traditional items include Chilka Roti, Meetha Pitha, and various forest-sourced ingredients like Rugra and Putu mushrooms.
