Jharkhand authorities order probe into voter deletion requests in Godda

An inquiry has been ordered in the Godda district of Jharkhand following allegations regarding mass voter deletion requests. Booth-level agents (BLA-2) reportedly submitted numerous Form-7 applications seeking to remove names from electoral rolls, claiming voters had shifted or were missing.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) challenged these submissions, noting that many of the named individuals are long-term residents who have appeared in electoral rolls for decades. In one instance, an agent stated he was provided with pre-filled forms by his political party. The controversy has prompted an investigation into the legitimacy of these bulk requests.
