Jharkhand examination scam involves software and strongroom tampering

An investigation by the CID has uncovered a major examination scam involving the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). According to statements from arrested agency employees, directors, and intermediaries, the syndicate used specialized software and portals to manipulate exam data and results.

The investigation revealed that the vendor agency, M/s TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL), collaborated with Picker Technology Private Limited to develop software that allowed officials to identify specific candidates and alter their answers directly in the database.

Furthermore, the scam involved physical tampering with answer sheets. Officials allegedly removed blank copies of answer sheets from the JPSC office's secure strongroom, transported them to hotels and rented apartments, and had experts or designated candidates fill them out. These completed sheets were then secretly returned to the strongroom. The CID is currently analyzing technical evidence, server logs, and financial transactions to further the investigation.
