Jharkhand PSC clears 2,204 candidates for civil service main exam
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) announced on 3 July that 2,204 candidates have qualified for the main stage of the 2025 Civil Service Combined Competitive Examination, which will fill 103 state posts. The main examination will be held on 18, 19 and 20 July at multiple centres in Ranchi, with two daily shifts (10:00‑13:00 and 14:30‑17:30). Successful candidates must submit online applications by the evening of 9 July and hard‑copy forms by 14 July.
The main test consists of six papers totaling 950 marks, followed by a 100‑mark interview. For this cycle the commission has removed the requirement for a minimum qualifying score for the interview. Earlier, the preliminary test on 19 April 2026 saw over 2.17 lakh applicants, and the exam’s answer key underwent several revisions after objections. An age‑limit exemption issue was also referred to the Jharkhand High Court before the results were released.
