Jharkhand Public Service Commission recruitment scam: CID arrests bring total to 10

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Jharkhand has arrested two additional suspects in the JPSC recruitment scam, raising the number of people taken into custody to ten. The latest arrests include JPSC employee Sonu Kumar and Arvind Kumar, a close aide of the alleged mastermind Abhay Tiwari.

Investigators say Tiwari, who previously worked as a marketing manager at the private agency TSR Data Processing and is now a Block Supply Officer, leased a hotel in Ranchi for nearly a year to arrange candidate "setting" and secret meetings. CID teams have been combing through the hotel's records to identify others involved. The probe continues with a special investigation team examining the broader network behind the alleged exam fraud.

The crackdown follows earlier raids that detained three individuals in two Ranchi hotels and placed a senior JPSC official under police custody. Authorities have warned that further legal action will be taken as new evidence emerges.
