Jharkhand voter list revision deadline set for September 30

The deadline for submitting claims and objections under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 for the voter list in Jharkhand is September 30. This process includes adding new names, objecting to existing entries, correcting details, and changing addresses.

Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kumar has urged eligible citizens, particularly young people not currently listed in the draft voter list, to apply before the deadline. Applications can be submitted online via ECI Net or through Booth Level Officers (BLO).

Specific procedures include Form-6 for new registrations, Form-7 for objections or removal requests, and Form-8 for corrections or address changes. The Chief Electoral Officer clarified that submitting Form-7 does not automatically remove a name; decisions will only be made following a formal investigation and hearing process. Following the deadline, election machinery will proceed with digitization, verification, and the publication of the final voter list.
