Jharkhand woman and lover arrested for husband's murder

Police in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district have arrested a 23-year-old woman, Sonali Kumari, and her lover, Kaushik Kumar Nauniya, for the alleged murder of her husband, Manglesh Pal. Pal, an employee of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), was reportedly killed at his residence using sharp-edged weapons.

Investigators stated that the murder was a conspiracy intended to allow Kumari to secure a government job on compassionate grounds following her husband's death, after which she planned to marry Nauniya. To mask the crime, the accused allegedly staged the scene to look like a robbery by claiming unidentified intruders had entered the home.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) utilized forensic evidence, fingerprint experts, and a dog squad to uncover inconsistencies in the suspects' statements. In addition to the two adults, a minor has been detained in connection with the case.
