Jhené Aiko announces new album ‘Westside Whimsy’

R&B singer Jhené Aiko has announced the release of her fourth studio album, titled ‘Westside Whimsy’. The project is scheduled to arrive on September 11, marking her first studio album in over six years following the 2020 release of ‘Chilombo’.

Aiko has been teasing the project since January, initially through a collaboration with Erewhon Market. The album is expected to draw inspiration from West Coast culture, including surfing and car culture, reflecting the artist's California roots. The announcement was accompanied by cover art featuring a close-up of Aiko against a teal background.
