Jhoan Romaña moves from San Lorenzo to Club León for $1 million
San Lorenzo de Almagro announced the transfer of 27‑year‑old Colombian centre‑back Jhoan Romaña to Liga MX side Club León. The deal runs until 2030 and includes a total compensation of about $1 million, of which San Lorenzo will receive $800,000 after tax deductions and a 10 % sell‑on clause.
Romaña, who played 103 matches (8,982 minutes) for San Lorenzo over two and a half seasons, scoring two goals and one assist, declined a contract renewal and expressed a desire to continue his career abroad. The club thanked him: “We thank Jhoan Romaña for his professionalism and wish him success in his new stage.”
Boca Juniors reportedly offered $3 million for the player, but San Lorenzo did not respond to the offer and proceeded with the León agreement.
