Jhon Jairo Botero wins Vuelta a La Azulita Elite title

Colombian cyclist Jhon Jairo Botero has been crowned the absolute champion in the Elite category of the 29th Vuelta a La Azulita mountain bike competition. Botero secured his victory through a strong performance across the four-stage event, which included winning the third stage on a challenging 17-kilometer course characterized by mud and steep descents.

In the women's division, Venezuelan cyclist Andrea Contreras secured the general classification title for the second consecutive year. In the Sub-23 category, Santiago Moreno earned third place in the general classification after winning the second stage.

The event, held in the Andrés Bello municipality, featured 179 cyclists from Venezuela and Colombia. The Gobernación de Mérida – Alcaldía Libertador team was named the winning team in the Elite division.
