Jhondry Ferreras honored at SMA Talents Awards

Jhondry Ferreras, a digital communicator and international travel promoter known as ‘El Árabe Dominicano’, has received the Digital Excellence Recognition at the SMA Talents Awards. The ceremony took place on Saturday, August 15, at the Sambil Convention Center in Santo Domingo as part of the SMA Talents Summit 2026.

The summit represents the first major gathering focused on the creator economy in the Dominican Republic. Organized by SMA Group in alliance with TikTokersRD, the event brought together over 600 content creators, brands, agencies, and digital professionals from the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The award was granted to Ferreras for his ‘trajectory, contribution, and impact on the digital ecosystem.’

Ferreras has been active in the digital space since 2017, notably organizing the ‘Dubái Sin Límites’ tours which connect the Dominican community with the United Arab Emirates. The summit also featured panels with various digital figures and the launch of the SMA Talents App.
