Ji Chang Wook reveals use of private Instagram account

During a promotional YouTube video for the film ‘The Scandal’ released by Netflix Korea, actor Ji Chang Wook revealed that he previously maintained a private, anonymous Instagram account.

Ji Chang Wook explained that he used the secondary account to ‘flex’ or show off expensive purchases, such as luxury watches or car interiors, without appearing arrogant on his official public profile. He described the experience as being like ‘shouting “Yahoo!” alone on a mountain’ because the posts were intended for his own satisfaction rather than an audience.

He eventually stopped using the account after realizing that the purpose of showing off is inherently tied to having an audience. He confirmed that the private account has since been deleted.
