Jiří Curney reaches 1,000 career floorball points

Floorball player Jiří Curney has reached a historic milestone by recording his 1,000th career point. During a match between Sparta and FBC Ostrava, a ceremony was held at the UNYP Arena to honor the achievement, which included a presentation of a jersey by former teammate Jan Natov.

Curney has accumulated 1,003 points across 460 games, consisting of 555 goals and 448 assists. His career has been marked by significant resilience; in 2023, he suffered from Miller-Fisher syndrome, a rare autoimmune condition triggered by COVID-19, which left him bedridden and forced him to relearn how to walk. Despite this setback, he returned to elite competition to achieve this record.
