Ji. hlava International Documentary Film Festival celebrates 30th anniversary
The 30th anniversary of the Ji. hlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic is being marked by a series of special events, including a charity auction and diverse film screenings.
In collaboration with the platform Aukro, the festival has organized the JI. HLAVA 30 charity auction. The event features 23 auctions of works by artists connected to the festival, documentary culture, and the contemporary art scene, including creators such as Krištof Kintera, Dan Perjovschi, and Alžběta Skálová. The auction, which runs from October 23 to November 1, 2026, includes paintings, graphics, photography, and collages. Aukro is participating without a commission, ensuring that all proceeds go directly toward the preparation of the jubilee festival edition.
The festival program also highlights significant documentary works, such as Filip Remunda’s "Expozice láskou," which explores the life of photographer Vlastimil Kul, and Vít Klusák’s "Jediná vteřina," which examines demolition accidents. Other featured content includes a Netflix documentary series profiling Mike Tyson.
